With her newest videoinstallation “Ich will raus” the artist illustrates the wish to take off the drab monotony of every day life. Shots of people are consciously avoided and for this reason the focus of the spectator is directed on the aircrafts. The spectator shall at the same time conciliate the feeling, like the aircrafts leaving everything behind, to unsnap for a short time of everyday life, to lift-off and to fly – a sort of flying dream. The work was mounted to the 80s song “Sehnsucht” (Purple Schulz), whereby Wyss transformed the original sound to a less gooey and partly disturbing undertone.
